Default question on service message on my display

I just recently had my a6 go over 100k and roughly 100 miles before i had a message come up saying "service in 100 miles" then a short time after going over 100k it said "service" and now it just says "service" whenever i start it up, i was told this is just an automated message from audi, i already had the timing changed and so on, can anyone validate this? and if so can i reset that or do i have to go somewhere to have them use a computer or tool to reset it.
thanks

Just ignore it. It's just an automatic message. You can reset it by pulling, turning *****, but I don't remember off hand. I will look tomorrow in my manual if no one has posted a how to by then.
