Default quick but urgent question

today I was replacing the cam tensioner seal on my audi a6 2.7T. At some point when I removed the driver side valve cover the hose that is rubber and connects to a metal tube came off under the valve cover and now I have no idea where it goes. Is there anybody that can help me. Again, it connects to a metal tube under the Y tube at the top of the valve cover it connects to a rubber hose, which then connects to a bent metal tube again. Thank you again for the help

Hard to tell from your description if you could post a pic it would save a lot of guessing.

Its a vacuum tube. Did it come loose from both ends or just the engine side? The body side is over on the fenderwell underneath the coolant resevoir. The engine side is up near the fuel rail.

yep it runs down along the intercooler tube and connects to a line under the coolant overflow bottle. Look down along the frame rail this hose sometimes ends up under there and can be hard to see.

Is this the vacuum that connects to that hard plastic vacuum line from the vacuum reservoir?

it connects under the y tube to a metal tube. The part that connects to the top metal tube is a rubber hose which then goes to the middle tube that is in that picture. I am hoping to see a picture of where the metal part sticks back into the engine compt. at
