Default Radio problem

I have 2000 A6 2.8. The radio works fine, but the speakers go out and on in various modes. The woofer is always on. Example, when I turn on the radio in the morning, it runs go for about 30 minutes than the sound goes out and then cuts out throughout the day. Is the wiring wrong, short, antenna contact. Had a radio person work on it for $35.00, but he said the radio was good, it might be the wiring on the car. Any suggest people, or just get a whole set of new speakers, but its a bose. Any recommendation would be appreciated.

The factory Bose amp is the problem. (behind trim on the right side of the trunk i think) also check the connector.

Definately sounds like a bad amp or you could have a shorted speaker or speaker wire which is causing the amplifier to shut all four channels down. Did you mess with the car/ buy it used / etc?

I have almost the same problem with my A6 from 2000.. but in my case its just the right back speaker.. sometimes its playing sometimes not.. i think its something with the wiring..
