Default Radio in Safe mode

My 1998 Audi A6 radio is in safe mode. I recently had my car jump started because I accidentally left on the lights.

I have discovered that holding down the RDS and FM2 buttons are the buttons to hold in order for "1000" to pop up, but I don't know where the code for my radio is. I have my owners manual and other items, but I don't know where the code is located.

Please direct me to the four digit code if possible.

Thanks.

Only an Audi dealer can get the radio code if its lost, by connecting their diagnostic machine to you car and to the Audi network. The code is a four digit number, which must be entered into the radio per the instructions in your radio manual that came with the car. The radio code would have been on a small card attached to the radio manual.
