Default Raised front end

I just changed the front suspension on my 2003 A6 Quattro . . But after I picked up car I realized the front end of the car seems to have raised a few inches. . Mechanic says that's normal but now the car looks funny

Is this really normal ? If not how do I get it back to the original level ?

what components did you replace? the whole shebang?

it is normal to assume that if you replaced all the suspension components that the front end will be sitting a bit higher than it used to. the A6 is a pretty portly beast and it is normal for the old components to have undergone a bit of compression over time. the other possibility is that you don't have something snugged up quite right. be sure to go over your work and make sure everything is mounted right back flush where it is supposed to be. a bit of extra time now to confirm your work can save you a costly repair later.

just for reference my 02 A6 has a pretty healthy wheel to fender gap on stock suspension with 16" wheels. I never measured but I estimate it to be 2-3 inches, maybe more. I was never good with that kind of thing (ask my wife)

good luck
