level stabilizer light?
not exactly sure what you are referring to
typically a yellow warning light means something needs attention at some point. a red warning light means something needs attention right now. can you describe the light that came on?

RE: Level stabilizer
Hi Beau, its a yellow light with triangle shape on tempreture side, i looked in the owners manual in the code section, and it said something about level stabilizer and i thing it has to do with suspension, you should have one in your manual too. Thanks. Ed.

My guess is you might be referring to the electronic stabilization program (ESP). If that is the case and it does not shut off anymore you will probably have to replace ABS module or get it rebuild.
To be on the safe side you should scan the car with a VAGCOM to get the codes read out and check back with this forum to see if this is really what is the cause before spending a thousand bucks.

RE: stabilizer program
Hi Sheldon, you right about that , but the light went out later it didnt stay on,and this morning did it again but the light didnt come on, how much will it cost to rebuilt and how hard it is to remove. Thanks Ed. P.S. can i use OBDll or it has to be a VAG-com.

any OBDII scanner that will pull the codes should be fine. just write the numbers down and post them here and someone will decipher them for you.
sounds like sheldon is right, ABS module problem, or maybe a wheel speed sensor

You can get our module rebuild for roughly 300 + shipping. It is not very complicated to take out and there are even some videos if you need help. I heard you can let these guys do the rebuild: ModuleMaster rebuilds ABS modules for as low as $100, 2 day average turn-around, 5 Year Guarantee
(I will have to send them mine sooner or later as well, but not until I have another Audi in my driveway that will take me to work during the down time)
What does worry me is your hard shifting though. Could it be because of a bad ABS module that applies the brakes?
Does that hard shifting only occur once during driving and your ABS lights comes on right afterwards?

Well since the hard shifting only happened right before the abs light came on it might be the module acting funny and it might feel like hard shifting but could be ESP interfering. Go for the rebuild to save a lot of money (after checking the codes!) and see if you still have any issues after that.
