recom. for rim problem

hey...
i have a set of S4/S6 avus rims and i have a problem... the rims have scratches on the spokes, not crazy deep but like very light keying. i have been thinking over and over again about what to do. do you guys think polishing and rubbing compound will at least hide 80% of the scratches? or should i paint? i really dont want to paint esp because i like the silver color (btw anybody know the color code for the avus rims?)
anything would be nice, please help
