Default remote key intermittent

I've got a 2002 A6 recently, it has been great. I've found one annoying thing, the remote key does not always work when you press it. I move around and keep pressing it and eventually it will unlock (or lock it) I put new battteries in both keys and re-synced them with the car but they still have this problem. Does anyone else have the same problem? Is there an antenna on the remote key receiver that might be loose? Any ideas?

There are several TSB's for audi remotes, some of the transmitters are faulty, the only way to figure out if the key is faulty is to seperate the key and check the part number. The transmitters vary in price but aren't cheap.

Well i would go to the nearest audi parts dept. and have them check their tsb list and see if your part number applies to one of them. Even if they don't have the part number i can almost guarantee you its the key transmittercause i think i have replaced almost 500-600 of them if the battery doesn't fix it which is part of the tsb.
