Ok so what is the best way to replace the starter on a 98 Audi A6 2.8L?
cause for some odd reason my Battery keeps on draining and some times goin down the road the battery will drop down to 8 volts. Replace the battery 3 times and had the New alternator tested and they are fine for Im leaning towards the Starter. And yes everything is stock. Please HELP

Why would you think it is the starter?

Try cleaning all your grounds and your battery terminals.

Is there a way to test the starter while it is in the car?

Just put an ammeter between the plus battery terminal and the plus cable and check the drain. If it's over about 50 mA, then start pulling fuses until it drops suddenly, that's the circuit. Then just check each item on the circuit. It's not the starter, if it were drawing current, you would hear something as it would be trying to turn. The typical drain is a glovebox or trunk light staying on.
