Default Replacement Tires for A6

Does anyone have any recommendations for a replacement tire for a 2001 A6 4.2? One of my Pirelli P6000s is bulging after 27,000 miles (5 yrs). Bridgestone Turanza looks top rated on Tirerack for a high performance all-season tire.

I have had great experience with the following on my 05 4.2. The OEM Michellins did not do anything very well.

All season - Pirelli PZero Nero M&S
Winter - Dunlop Wintersport M3
Summer - Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3

[sm=groupwave.gif] I've had the best luck with Nokian WR's for all season tires. Would definitely buy another set when these wear out. They are very quiet, very good on ice and in snow, excellant in the rain, and have about 25,000 miles now with about 3/4's of the tread left. They are rotated front to back every 6,000 miles. The car is a 2001 A6 Quattro, 2.8 engine. Had them on my 2002 BMW 325 also.

I purchased Continental Extreme Contact from Tire Rack for $105 a piece - pretty happy so far ... One of the best combinations of performance and price.

I have to agree with Ozz. The Conti Extreme Contacts are AWESOME all weather tires for the money (on a 99 2.8 Quattro)

I just put a set of Kuhmos 245-50-16 on my A6 2.7T they are very good in the snow and rain plus corner good. They ran me about 450 for the set. The place said I couldnt fit this size on my car but as usuall I had to prove them wrong.
