Replacing turbos
Hello All:
I am new member. I need some advice about the turbo's on my car.
They leak and whine and was told by mechanic that one needs to be replaced.
Is this a hard job to tackle ? Does the engine need to be pulled? Where can I find illustrations of the Job ? The car 80,000 miles on it. Any help would be appreciated.

On the 2.7T turbo replacement is about a 40 hour job for an experienced mechanic. At a rate of $100/hr that is $4000 in just labor. Good set of turbos is approximately $1500, sooooooo...
yes. the engine needs to be pulled to replace the turbos as they are located on the back of the motor at the bottom. Just open your hood and try to find one.
There are a good number of pics out there but I haven't found a full walkthrough. There are also some youtube vids of the procedure.
