Question Resetting service light on 08 A6 3.2

Just finished changing the oil for the first time on our car (what a job!) anyway, I have never owned an Audi before and was wondering if I could reset the "service past due" notice?

It should be in the owners manual, so take a look in there. I don't know off the top of my head because I don't have such a new audi. In the mean time, check your owners manual and google.

On the 2005-2009 A6s you need a vagcom to reset the service light. If you don't have one, drop by the delaer and they will reset it for you.

Well, he did say it was his first time changing it which might mean that he's already gotten everything he could from the dealership.

Thanks for the assistance...now where do I get one of those? Is the service light for oil changes only? My BMW came with free service for 60,000 miles, no such offer with this one.

Regarding the first 1st oil change...I bought it used... exec car.
