Rust on Audi A6 2001 1.8T
Our family recently bought a Audi A6 2001 1.8T Auto 6spd Multitronic
On the rear doors of the car on each side there is a triangular black metal piece next to windows.
This seems to be bubbling underneath the paint. Are these parts of the door fixed to the door frame? Can they be replaced? and are they expensive?
I look forward to your reply.
Thanks

RE: Rust on Audi A6 2001 1.8T
Hm, by the looks of the picture it does look replaceable, what its called I don't know but if you go to the dealer and show them it they could look it up on the computer and have detailed pic's of it.
I don't know what the inside of the car looks like but if you open the door I am guessing there is a plastic piece that is covering it. If so remove it It will probably look like the same plastic covers that cars have on the front doors covering the mirrors bolts. Well pry it off it is probly held on by clips and then see what is holding in that piece, its probly screw's or bolts. Hope this helps any.
