Default S8 Rims on an A6 Possible?

Greetings Peoples. Does anyone know if the 5 double spoked wheel on the S8 (20") or the S6 (19") will fit on a '05 A6 4.2?

I thought about chrome for a long time, but it's an Audi...I don't need chrome to turn heads. I currently have 17" stock (245/45/17) which look beautiful as long as I keep them cleaned. But for the summer I want a better look and the only non-chrome shoes out there that I've seen are the ones on the new S8 and S6.

Anyone know if they'd be a smooth fit without any adjustments? Also, what are your thoughts on the idea?

Or, even the 19" on the S5 (double-y-spoke) look nice.

Take a look at the Hartmann Wheels website. They sell replicas, made in Germany, for all of the wheels you mentioned. According to their website they all fit the C6. I recently purchased the seven double spoke wheel from the S8 for my 2005 A6 4.2. They look both classy and sporty.

Thanks! You definitely have taste Bro! They didn't have an S8 at my dealership, but I did see one at a gas station and the 20's on those looked so ill!

Hey Kev, I just checked out the site; so you have the HS8 - 454 Wheels?? Do you have any pics of them? Did they come with tires on them or did you have to get the tires separately?

I like the Hartmann 209 HS5 replica wheel. HS8 looks beautiful, but they should've made the spokes winged like the HS5.

Did you have any mounting problems or was it a smooth fit?

I picked up the 454s with the Audi logo and the TPMS sensors, no tires. I had my summer rubber mounted on them last weekend and had no problems. I have had the car up to 95 mph and no vibrations or shimmies, just like my OEM rims. Unfortunately, it is suppose to rain all week so I will try to take some pictures when the sun returns.

I'd be cautious going to 19" or 20" if you're going to drive in the winter up north. Potholes and frost heaves could cause damage. R&T did a long term test of an A8 (it might have been an S8) and they had to replace a couple rims. It was not cheap.

Kevin,

Yeah those 454's are sweet, thanks for the pic! Love the white too! Tried to find that with the amaretto interior, to no avail...

PPGoal,

I would only keep the rims on from May-Sept/October up here in the north. It's true about our potholes; NYC has the absolute WORSE roads in the country!
