SEA FOAM.....marine & auto
Anyone try it?
It's $10 buck and change from NAPA............I put a whole can in a 3/4 full tank and after 100 mi I realized my injectors were in fact clogged because I began getting way better acceleration and my fuel economy jumped up 5 mpg! Anyone else know what I'm talking about? Try it!

Yeah, Sea Foam is great stuff - I've used it for years. You can also put it in your oil, but do it about 30 miles BEFORE you do an oil change - it breaks down the oil, so you don't want it in there for long. I've used it on my boat motor, lawn mower, last several cars, etc. They also make an aerosol spray called Deep Creep for the hard to reach areas (I spray it in my boat motor's spark plug holes to soak and break up the carbon once a year - it's a 2 stroke motor).
I've seen it for $8 at Autozone and $6+ at Walmart. I'm considering dumping a can in my gas tank but am a little concerned it may clog the fuel filter or injectors. I just had the fuel filter changed last year and don't want to do it again. Anyone ever have a bad experience adding it to the gas?
yeah i've used it in the vac lines/gas tank a couple times and i havent had any prblems.
but its recomended that you change sparkplugs if you do it through the vac lines! which is the most effective way to do it IMO.... havent tried it in the crankcase...
