Default Service Light Reset

Car - 2000 2.7t 6M 113,000

A little while ago my display said service in 800 miles. This happened at start up and then went away imediately after the car was running. So in time the increments went down 500, 300, 100. Now its been well over those 800 miles and it just says service everytime I start up. The car runs great with no CEL. How can I clear this service thing from coming up on my display everyday???

Thanks

I am lazy, and won't be stepping out to the car this evening to check for you exactly, but roughly here is how to clear that.

Turn the ignition on, press and hold the right button on the instrument cluster. Then press the left button. It should be clear. If it doesn't work, let me know. I will get my lazy **** up and check it tomorrow. BTW, the procedure is listed in your owner's manual.

I never thought of looking in the manual, but its there. I got it reset so I'm good for another 8,000 miles.
