So I tried looking on the forums and couldn't really get find an answer...

Problem: Car shaking/vibrating on Idle

So I bought this 2000 Audi A6 of a guy, noticed the shaking when stopped at the light on Idle. He told me it was because of low RPMs and it was only the spark plugs to change..

So I bought it anyway but now I'm having doubts...

Sometimes when stopped at a light the engine light starts flashing, but when I drive off it stops but it stays on hard (no homo)...

Apart from that it drives smooth, its just annoying..

 

do you know how your s breather hose is? or clean your maf

 

Any check engine lights? Maybe coil packs?

 

Shaking at idle is usually due to misfire, and a blinking check engine lamp also indicates misfire. The idle speed is adjusted automatically, so that should not be the problem. Change plugs and wires first, which is always a good idea on a newly aquired car.

 

Ok so basicly what would I have to change to fix the misfire? Just buy a new set of spark plugs? And is that easy to do by myself? Just so I don't get screwed by mechanics haha
