I have read several posts this, but have not heard back from anybody who had had it fixed and what the underlying problem was. I was driving on the freeway last night (65 mph) and the tranny slips and the RPM's go through the roof, one solid thud, and back to normal---not good!! Intermittenty it slips in 2nd and 3rd gear for just a second but enough to recognize that it slipped. I am under warranty. It is a 4.2 Sport. Anybody know if this is a fix or a replacment? I hear they are sealed tranny so it isnt a fluid issue...What could it be?

Thanks

RE: slipping tranny
Unless theres a linkage issue where the tranny is intermitantly slipping into neutral, its inside the trans. The only part that can be replaced is the vavlebody, but most likely you ll get a new tranny if the tech can duplicate it.
