Default speed limiting gov
Does anybody know if its possible to remove whatever governs top speed on a 2005 A6 4.2? Right now it cuts me off at about 138 mph but i know the car is capable of a lot more than that.

It is removed by chipping a 2.7T. Since no chip is available for the 4.2, I don't have a definitive answer. You might want to reach out to one of the performance companies -- they may be able to flash your ecu to remove the governor.
