Hey first post. I just inherited a '99 a6 2.8 (my dad uprgraded to an '04 2.7t s line). It has the bose stereo in it; Is there a stereo upgrade that won't mess with the electronics and get the full potential from the bose?

 

if you could find a harness for the audi connector you should be able to push the bose system and stock amp with any good head unit i.e. alpine or premier.

 

easy to integrate ... teh only tricky part is attaching a sub but head unit is easy ... to be honest with you you arent going to get the nice bose sound from an aftermarket headunit ...
