OK so everytime i turn on the car everything is fine but when i turn the headlights i hear a pop type sound and my head unit goes into safe mode and i have input the key code and then it works fine as long as i dont turn off and on the lights again.

car is 98 A6 concert I Bose..I have installed HID DDM kit not sure if that it or not but i dont recall it doing it when i initially installed them..so basically every time headlights get turned on stereo goes into safe mode.

Your headlights are sucking down the power level when you turn them on. How did you wire them in? Did you use a relay?
