hey guys/girls i have a rather puzzling question bout my Audi. the other day as i was reading thru my owner's instruction book i came across the section that talks bout the power roof and operation and all that good stuff. in one part it says that "only models equipped with the power roof have the hex allen wrench for emergency closing attached to the cover of the inside fuse box" with that said the other day i had to replace a fuse and to my surprise i find that my Audi not only has the emergency wrench but also the sunroof motor fuse in the fuse box. the catch is that I DON'T HAVE A SUNROOF! so why the hell would Audi equip it with the wrench and fuse for the sunroof when it doesn't even have one. can anyone shed some light on this matter cuz im really puzzled to have that.

because its easier in the production phase, rather than worrying about installing "option specific" fuse boxes.

 

I find it more odd your car came without a sunroof. The extra headroom must be nice, I wouldn't benefit being only 5'8

 

Echo Echo- so the sunroof was an add on option or what?

Jeffla- im 5'7" so having a sunroof wouldnt affect me at all.

yes mine. I wanna know if the sunroof was a dealer installed option since all the fuses nd hex wrench are all there. I think the motor is there already too...

 

I don' think so. The roof sheet metal is definitely factory formed.
