I'm trying to hook up my new radar detector to my 2012 A6 3.0T with a hardwire kit.

I want to use an 'add a circuit' to the fuse box to get a switched circuit, but most of my circuits seem to have 12V even when the car is off.

What do people recommend (and driver's or passenger's side?)
