So once in a while my radio would randomly keep switching between tracks when a cd is in. More recently, its gotten even worse, where it will play about 10 seconds of a song thengo randomly through the whole cd. I thought maybe the mix button, but thats not it. any ideas???

 

Go buy a new cd, if it does it on that you need a new sterio.

 

Mabey sticky buttons I sometimes get coffee in mine , The freaking cup holder is right over my radio and heater controls it sucks when your heat gets stuck on.Try cleaning them up with armor all or somthing.

 

Buy a new radio.

 

My radio smokes crack as well, mine does not change songs, but adjusts the settings by itself. Sometimes I turn the radio on and it has changed the fader or balance settings. Sometimes when I turn the radio on, the last station I was on was 91.1 but it changes it to 91.0, or 91.2. I have Vag-com'd it and it supposedly checks out, so who knows. Do you have access to a Vag-com? Maybe it will detect some sort of fault.

Try a disc cleaner first that will clean the laser lens on the player..If that does nothing start lookin on ebay...
