Default Take Off problem Please Help !!

i have a 2001 audi a6 2.8 automatic 130K if i stop at a light and take off it appears like it slips the gear and it jumps and studders .. i would have to take off little by little and it would go perfectly. a friend of mine told me it was the motor mounts since he braked and accelerated the car and he told me the motor lifts up badly please help me with this i hope its not a tranny problem. the car drives perfectly on the highway

Unfortunately, based on what you tell us, it sounds like transmission AND motor mounts. The "slipping" sounds like a the torque converter is going (or a clutch, if it was a manual) and it manifests itself under heavy load (accleration) rather than light load when cruising. Bad motor mounts would not cause slippage, but they could cause bangong as the motor moves around. If not corrected, that leads to worse problems. I suggest taking it to a reputable indie shop or even tranny place for a real diagnosis.

I had a similar issue which turned out to be a transmission mount. Good luck as it took them numeous hours just to loosen nut/bolt assembly at $92.00/hr.

eish guys I have the same problem if you take off slowly no problem but if you try to just speed off it jerks/slips then goes perfectly until the next stop, where is this mounting of the transmission
