I have a A6 Quattro 98.... The tempature is almost always on "C" everyonce in a while is turns on and goes to the half way point. What is possible things I can check and do to fix this problem?

 

Do a search for "coolant temperature sensor". You probably have a black one and it needs to be replaced.

 

It might be as simple as a bad connection.

 

i have the same problem on my 02 2.7 ... ECT is the problem i believe

 

Sounds like your temp guage is fault. Like it activates only once in a while due to a bad connection.

 

well i did some research and its only abad connection if it springs from "c" to the halfway point if its taking like 30 seconds to 2 mins to get from c to halfway then its either your sensor or your thermostat itself ... those are a pain in the neck to replace ... so unless its liek instantly jumping then ur screwed

Checdk with AOA, I got a letter from the, about an extended warranty on this 3 months ago

2002 a6 2.7t s-line quattro with a lil over 70k on it ... yea makes no sense ... do u think AoA would just be trying to get out of it?
