Erratic temperature gauge behavior is one of the trade marks of Audi for years. Mine gets ok after an engine wash – for while. Audi will replace CTS only after CEL is on due to CTS malfunctions for while. I’d not bother on 2.7 – to much hassle. Maybe some day, once there is nothing left to fix….(in the brave new world)…
