Default Temperature guage stuck

Hey everyone, I owna audi 4.2 A6 quattro and my temperature guage seems to be stuck. no matter how far i drive the guage bareley moves if not at all to the cold position. anyone know how to fix this ? or has anyone had this problem before? thanks

does it move even a little bit??? are you getting hot air into the cabin?? first thing is change the thermostat and clear any air leaks

You probably have a bad temp sensor. Pretty common problem.

cool thanks guys. Well today on the freeway I happened to use the tiptronic and down shifted to 3rd and opened the throttle and the temp guage seemed to start working again. I'll keep an eye on it the next few days and i'll see if its working again.
