Thinking about a 2.7T, but found 2 probl
am pretty sure you experienced normal things but drive another 2.7T for comparison, may be this one eas more accentuated.
ALWAYS let your car warm up to 170-175 before pushing the turbos and let it coll down by driving easy/low RPMS for the last few miles or wait 30-45 seconds before turning off the engine. Turbo timer is also na option.
Piggy pipes or downpipes will also help with the lag you felt AND with lowering temperature behind the turbos + help with performance quite a bit once you're chipped.
I would only used synthetic. I like the Europeanmade Castrol or kendall full synthetic.
The 2.7T is a lot of fun and has much potential.
As far as the TIP being slow of the line, it is somewhat true but it can be launched
