Default For those who have replaced thier diverter valves.....

What are the symptoms of the stock diverter valves failing? I have a 2004 A6 2.7t with tip trans. The car has no issues and is well maintained. Only thing is when the car downshifts into first when you nail it it does not feel like it is making boost then after it shifts it feels like the boost comes in. Some times it will do it from a 50 MPH kick down as well. This being my first Audi I am not sure if this is a tuning parameter in the ECU to reduce drive line shock or what. Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

best thing to do is to pull the DVs and check them. should take you less than an hour to remove, test and reinstall. basically take the DV off, plug the ports, compress the diaphragm and make sure it holds air (there is a more precision description of what to do around here somewhere). Just be careful not to break anything.

good luck
