Once I really worked my ol 300K MB TDWagon to virtually new the last time ..almost three years ago (they really didn't skimp on paint quality or number of full body dips in 1987)..its simply brushless washed then rinsed with purified filtered water and now I only use the new Nanotechnology application which Eagle sells and naturally the same is done on the Audi. Now the Wagon is 23 years old and frankly embarrasses new cars including my beautiful georgious A6 but it's Silver (what else..so IMO, it's not the years but the quality of the original paint..I'll garentee a new MB short of a Maybauch isn't even in the same league as this old wagon in many ways but especially the paint.

princess G got the right idea. I would pay the $ to have the job done by a pro 2 get you up to speed. then on black cars I use turtle wax ice. it only lasts about a month or so but no wax in your cracks and gives that deep shine on the black cars. another great detail is to get rid of all the dents n dings. www.damndents.com

I dont know ....i'm not the expert . All I can share is my opinion. My car is almost 10yrs old and I get compliments all the time. So whatever gets done to my car works for me.
Good luck! Hope it turns out great
