Default Throttle tip in

I have a 2000 A6 Avant and just had the timing belt and other misc things serviced so I had a loaner for two days. the loaner wasa 98 A6 with the 2.8 engine but was a sedan so it was very close to my ride. Anyways I noticed that when I stepped on the gas this model would take off far more quickly than my Avant. over all it seamed to have about the same amount of power so it was really just that few seconds after throttling up. Do any of you out there know what might account for this? The first thought I have is that the Avant is a bit heavier but not that much. it almost seems like a throttle tuning thing or maybe a transmission tuning thing. are these things that can actually be tuned through the VAG. Or maybe there is something els I need to look at.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks
