Default ticking sound front brakes

i had the brakes replaced on my 98 A6 a few months ago and rotors turned. after a week or so there was a ticking sound coming from the front drivers side wheel. when you put on the brakes the ticking sound stops so i know it has to be in the caliper, pads or rotor. took it back and had the rotors turned again. it's still ticking and now it seems to be doing it on the passenger side also. also it only seems to do it when the brakes get hot after going thru several traffic lights. any help or suggestions would be appreciated. i'm a long ways from an audi dealer so i let a guy work on small stuff that has a good reputation of knowing german cars.

Make sure the backing plate isnt hitting the rear of the rotor.
