Default timing belt changed... front end not aligned

Question on mechanical work...

I recently bought a 2001 a6 2.7t with 108,000 miles. I knew it had to have the timing belt changed... All good and within my budget.

Question is...i took it to a reputable area mechanic, vetted by family, but after replacing the timing belt, water pump, etc... The frond end is not perfectly aligned compared to before the work was done.

Is this common for these jobs? Or should I return and ask for the mechanic to finish the job correctly?

Whatever the fact... Still loving the a6 turbo.

Can you put up a few pics of the misaligned areas?

I attached two pictures. And mind you, before I brought the car in for the timing belt change, one side was comely flush, and the other had a small area that was not flush (2 inches in length)

Looks like it's just not clipped in. You may be able to pop those in just as the car sits. Worst case the bumper needs to be unbolted and then remounted. As long as the attachment points aren't broken that's a quick fix.

Sure thing - I found this just now. This will show you how to do it if you decide to DIY the job instead of going back to the shop.
