Timing belt replacement pricing 2.7T
labor per hour will run between $75-$95 depending on where you take it. Look at spending right around a grand give or take. In my experience I have been able to save about $150-250 on buying my own parts and supplying them to my mechanic.
bye the 60k service kit from www.vastperformance.com you get everything you need for the tbelt job which is all authentic parts from germany.
That is the biggest thing. Get the genuine parts not the cheap knock offs. ECS has great prices. but I know they use the cheap parts. I used them on afriends A4 thinking we were goingto save moneyand they send the cheap water pump and tensioncylinder. they worked great for about 10,000 miles when we had to replace both....stick with the Genuine Audi parts from shops that get not just the Audi parts but the UPDATED PARTS.
I bought the entire kit, including fluid, from www.blauparts.com for $355 and my indie charged 6 hours labor to install. Rates vary locally, but total was ~$800. Don't know where you are, but my shop is in southwest Michigan.
