tips and suggestions for the new 2.7t owner
Just bought a 2000 A6 2.7T, My question before going to the service department is..
My ABS brake lite is illuminated in the dash with the ABS yellow in color and Brake is red and blinking...
I understand this is a abs control module issue if I understand correctly.
So I was courious if this can be a DIY job or do I need to spend the $$ at a local SHOP? and if it can be done BY a DIY job.. any help on where to find good part.
Thank you

So what exactly is the best thing to do. I just got a 2004 A6 S-line and its in good shape at 56,000 miles. I want to chip it but i feel like intake or exhaust should come first or can i just go straight to the chip.
Do a 93 octane chip first (assuming its a turbocharged). I'm not sure how well a chip works on a non turbo A6. If it has the 2.7T the chip will do wonders and can get you into the 5.4 - 5.6 0-60 range. After the chip do intake and exhaust.
Intske is a waste of your $ and time. Exhaust will get you very little perf gains, mostly sounds and again depends on which..
Chip is a MUST do for performance. Do the TBB and DVs at the same time. Next do Piggies, H Sport sway bars for handling, Pads and SS lines with blue racing fluid for better stopping and less fade.. and many more mods to go.... suspension, wheels, exhaust, gaskets, spoiler, blades, grille, debadge..... Ko4s, fueling, SMIC...

Hi Guys,
Congrats on agreat site!
I've just traded my 2001 WRX station wagon in on a 2003 Audi 2.7T. I thought the wrx was a great car but I must admit the audi blows it away with style, class and speed. The car has done 130kms, so I think I'll need to keep up the maintence to insure I catch small things, before they turn into larger issues that have been noted on various sites. The car has a 3 year warranty so if anything pops up, I'll make the most of this cover. Not sure if the cambelt has been doing, but there appears to be no marks on it showing wear.
Does anyone know where I can find a english manual for the Japanesse stereo, I love to know how to use the system.
Any help with what I should look out for or address to help with proventive maintenace would be greatly appricated. Are there any other sites that provide further information on the 2.7T?
I contacted my local Audi dealer but being in New Zealand and as the 2.7T was not a new car option here, they were as good as two **** on a bull!
Cheers

Anything I need to look at on the Quatro part of the A6? Looking and working it out to get a '04 A6 Quatro with the 2.7T S-line for 13400. Pretty sure it's a good price but wondering about the quatro part. Getting rid of my B5 VW to get this one!
BUMP This is great information thanks. I just bought my A6 2.7 and wow is it amazing. I got an amazing deal. $7350 for a 2000 with 69,000mi fully loaded.
Unfortunatley I just got a check engine light, but im thinking it should be an easy fix considering that its young and that the MAF TB secondary water pump and powersteering have all been done recently.
If you have any more tips feel free to share. Im a noob when it comes to Audi, but im loving my decision thus far. =]
