but what is the deal with the tiptronic for 10 seconds while in drive?!

when you are in drive- "D"(from what ive read on several forums) you can downshift if you have paddle shifters and what will happen is u click the paddle shifter to downshift and it will downshift and remain in TIP mode for about 30 seconds even though you are still in "D" if you recode to 01032 ... well when i am in "D" i click the paddle shifter to downshift and nothing happens ... why?!
