Default Tranny problem please help

hello to everyone. I have a 2002 A6 quattro 2.7 I just had a tranny installed but i am having problems. When the car is first put in drive the tranny works fine. after a while the display on the cluster which highlights the Parking, and Drive, info on the cluster high lights in red, and the tranny does not work properly. it feels as if the car in on a higher gear and takes allot of gas to get it moving. Anyone ever have this problem.. If so what does it mean
