Default Turbo O Ring problem

hello,
my buddy 2000 A6 v6 2.7T have a left side turbo O ring leak problem couple days ago..can he still able to drive the car until it get fix? would this harm the engine? does it effect the engine performance? he's planning a long trip back home (about 15 hours drive) this weekend...is it safe for him to use the car for this long drive with 70mph speed? need a quick advise..thanks

You mean a turbo return line leak? Is it leaking where the lines go into the back of the oil pan?

I believe so..it got smoke come out from the back...that's what he told me..any idea what would it cost for the dealer to repair? thanks

If its got smoke coming from the back, its probably your cam seals and valve cover gaskets.
Have someone identify where the leak is coming from before attempting a long trip then post back.
