Default Chrome ring install problem

I just installed the chrome rings around my instrument cluster, which looks really good by the way and now my display cluster information is off. For instance the current mpg starts out at 15mpg and goes down to 5 mpg. Basically, it doesn’t work anymore. Also the mile left till your tank is empty is off too. Does anyone know how to fix this? If so I’d really appreciate it. Also, I do have a vag-com if that is needed to fix the problem. Thanks in advance.

More likely than not your plugs to the cluster are not seated properly Ive heard of this happening before. Id take it off and make sure everythings tightly seated/connected

Damn, I was afraid of that. Thanks for the advice. I'll go out and check it again.
