The front dashboard cup holder facia is missing on the 2003 A6 I recently purchased.

I don't think I am in desperate need of a cup holder to be honest and instead would like to try and install a USB powered hub in the same place as the cup holder.

The hole is just the right size to fit 4 USB ports with comfort, so I thought I would find out if anyone else has either done something similar or has done any investigating to installing powered usb ports.

My phone and sat nave both opwer via usb cables and of course the kids Ipods are USB, so the ability to plug directly into the dash via USB for power would be great and keep things tidy.
