hey Joe
I got sick with the flu and been home sicne Thursday night, just saw all the posts...
I had an appointment at my shop today to take care of a few things including the tip chip but had to cancel due to the flu.
I am almost glad i did now... You seem to be having several issues. I definitely don't want my car to shift for me in TIP or the screen to change or go from TIP to D...

HOW do you load the file VAST sends??? And if it loadable bu user [or a local shop], then why go through the orginal hassle to ship your chip to them and have your car immobilized for a few days when first buying the chip?

Please let us know how it goes later when you've loaded the new file...

VAST is great, I have no doubt it'll work out.

ok got off the phone with him at about 530... he said i have an (s-line) a6 which has different programming on the trans computer ... i reproggrammed vagcom to 01032 (everyone with an s-line edition shoudl do this if you have an s-line edition dont use 00032 ... he wrote a custom file and everything should be good on thurs when i get the file ... prince said call him up and hell walk me through the program which isnt hard (according to prince and another member who wrote on this thread) so im excited for thursday and to finally get this thing in and working ... its not so bad because i scheduled some other upgrades during this time so i wouldnt have had a car anyway

BTW DPs were a pain in the *** to install

I have replaced my chip several times. As I said I wanted a harder shift. It takes about 10 min when you know what you are doing. From what I under stand 010032 is the way to go on the S line cars. I love my TCU file. keep us posted and let us know how it works out

Mine is an 04 NON S Line and I also have the 01032 code too.

factory is either 01002 or 00002, all that should be changed is the second to last digit to "1" or "2" or "3" depending on the desited changed, there are 4 settings available.

Yeah I ahve that info but unfortunately it is not accurate.
I don't have paddle installed and still had 1 from factory, so did my friends' 04 S line A6.
