Hi All,

I am a newbie here looking for some advice...I recently sold my 2002 Audi A6 3.0 with 100,000 miles and am now looking to buy a CPO A6. I have located a couple that I am interested in.

2005 A6 with Premium Package, Cold Weatherand Convenience Packages or 2006 With Premium, Technology and Sunroof.

The price on the 2005 is killer and it only had 29,000 miles. It does not have voice control, but does have bluetooth. I drive through Chicago often, and our local gov't is thinking about passing a handsfree only law.

So my questions is this..."Is it possible to add Voice Control to the 05 A6. It has the MMI Hi and the Multifunction steering wheel...and as I said, it has bluetooth phone prep already, just no voice control.

if it is to costly, then of course the 06 becomes a better option with only 18,000 miles, with my only features option being lost is the Headlight Washersbut I don't think I need NAV as I have a garmin.

I did a search on voice control and SDS and Speech Dialogue System and had no results on the board or google specific to the A6.

Chances are thatI will probably add the Denison Gateway 500 to either since the AMI retrofit is $1000 installed.

The voice module came in every 2005. If you paid for the option Audi turned it on, if you did not pay for the option Audi left it turned off. Others have posted that with a VAG you can turn the voice recognition on.

Is there anyone out there that has turned on voice control in an 05 A6 with a Vag-Com. I have access to one at a local import shop and also have a great business relationship with the Audi Dealership Owner and GM's and might be able to have them "turn it on" in the shop if I go in knowing what needs to be done. I left a similar post on Audiworld and over at Ross-Tech but have not heard back from anyone.
