Default Voluntary Emissions Service Action 28F2/J1

Received a notice over the weekend which indicates Audi may inspect and replace ignition coils. I have the oem ignition coils at 154k miles and am a little reluctant having the dealer touch them. It's also a 90 mile round trip drive. So unless they commit to a full replacement AND give me the old coils (nice set of spares), I may pass on this until such time as I see a MIL/CEL.

I scanned the recall notice, but it's too large to attach. If anyone wants a copy, email me at jjaiven@chartermi.net

Wow that's nice!

Let me know when they are replacing the valve stem covers they are the only things I haven't replaced yet.

Just received the same notice for my daughter's 2003 A4 3.0 MT6. It's going in for the service next Tuesday because it has occasionally thrown misfire CEL codes. They told me that under the "recall", I don't get to keep the old coils -- they have to send them back to Audi.
