I just received a letter informing a service action on some 02 A4 AND A6 model, basically, it just stated that in some vehicles, mosit debris might clog the air plenum drain area and water could leak into the brake booster, and thus it may impede proper performance of the brake vaccum asist.

They want us to schedual a appt with the dealer and let them inspect, modify and fix the problem.

And it will be free of charge.

Anyone receive this letter? What are you going to do?

 

Igot this "recal notice" and the dlr honored it and did the alterations under the battery. No $. Takes about an hour. 2002 A4 1.8T Q 136,00 miles on it, all stk.

 

Do either of you know what the Recall Notice number was ? Or a Service Bulletin Number ? I'm having the same issue, but the dealer can't find anything about this.
