I have a 2003 A6 saloon, discovered 2 inches of standing water in the spare-tire well yesterday.
I think this has happened in the last 2 weeks, pretty heavy rain recently plus intensive car washing last weekend....

Anyone go through a water-leak problem like this before on an A6?

I've heard that the rear light clusters can be the source of leak issues.

I suspect that leak is coming from base of rear window, trunk carpet appears stained directly below window, about 8 inches in from the left side of trunk.

So far I've baled out the water, then used an electric heater to dry out the carpets.

Any suggestions for me out there?
