Default What is the best suspension setup for an 2002 A6 2.7T ?

I was thinking about getting H&R springs and pairing them up with some aftermarket shocks, but don't know which are good, or at least considered "best".

Also, this guy at an all Audi performance shop told me that I can just get the H&R springs and keep my stock shocks. Is this true? I ask because from what I have observed here and other forums, many say that aftermarket springs should always be paired with aftermarket shocks because the stock shocks will blow very soon, especially in cold and rigid road conditions found in Chicago.

Any feedback AND SUGGESTIONS would greatly be appreciated!

Thanks in advance

You are correct in your assumptions.

You could pair them with Bilsteins or Konis. Either will suit you well.

thanks much imolas4,

I was hoping someone can also maybe direct me to some well known and well rated internet stores that carry both H&R springs and shocks for AUDI, while still at a reasonable price please.

Thank you

First one that came to mind:
AWE A6 suspension

But there are other sites, too.

I have Intrax with Konis. It is best to replace the stock parts when upgrading the suspension
