I drive a 2000 Audi A6 2.7T
I recently was putting in gas, and once i finished i looked over and seen a few very beautiful ladies. So i decided id back up and have a chat with them. as im backing up i hear a loud bang. i look out my back window and see nothing. so i get out of the car and find a very heavy metal garbage can laying on the ground. and peices of some glass as well. needless to say i was embarassed that those very attractive ladies seen this all happen. i was mad that i just broke a peice off my audi. And ive tried to google what it is but i cant seem to find the right name for the peice. so i was hoping someone could help me out. maybe give me a website that sells them, or give me a rough price estimate on them. heres the best i can explain the peice as...

It's on the center of the trunk. it's covering the break lights. and is located above the license plate. cant seem to find what its called though. if anyone could help me out thatd be great!

Is it a really thin strip, right above the bumper? If so, not sure what it's called but I think I know a site where you can get one.

I don't know its name, but it doesn't house the brake lights, it houses 1 rear fog light and 1 dummy fog light as well as the license plate right?

 

Yes, exactly! its the glass or plastic peice around the license plate. the right side is broken off and i have to see about getting a new one now...

 

Here's what you do - Goto the dealer and learn that it will cost you next years wages then go home and cry

or call Force Five in Concord NH, or Shokan in Shokan Pa and get a used one.
