What does a turbo cost aftermarket...? And who is the best/cheapest supplier?
Also, does Bi-turbo mean 2 exact replica turbos in 1 car OR 1 assembly consisting of 2 turbos attached together.

2 turbos, one on each side, same turbos but opporsite sides, they sell one for the left and one for the right

sorry I meant KO4's as you said aftermarket I assumed you were thinking about upgrading. Don't know what KO3's cost but if you got to change them, why go back to KO3's?

 

I thought going to K04s and getting the most out of them also involves changing the intakes, ECU, and possibly the exhaust. From a little bit of research, this seems to be a $5-6k expense, but one that will result in over 400 hp. I'm hoping my stock turbos last a long time, but if they ever fail then I'll probably go for the performance upgrade. Netting it out, it's only a few $000 more for 50-100 more hp.

 

k03s will be about 800 a pop and that will total 1600+ labor ... that k04 upgrade is much more expensive then everyone thinks ... yea the turbos are about 1000 a piece but the other parts that are required to be replaces are a boatload of money ... its more like about 6-8grand in parts to keep your car SAFE and also reliable. new intercoolers fuel pump ecu chip hoses inlet pipes exhaust manifold downpipes ... this adds up really quick ... i actually drove an a6 with k04s because i had almost all of the funds saved up to buy them and i decided not to untill i buy another car because this is my daily driver and when i got in that a6 and stepped on it if it wasnt pointed in teh right direction there was no way you were steering it back haha it was kinda too fast for a daily driver (turbos starts spooling at 1400 rmps !

if your turbos need to be replaces you might aswell go for the upgrade the because it will certainly be worth it and you could justify the extra costs ... let us know if you do the upgrade !
