Default What the hell is wrong with my 2.7T!?!?

Ok. I bought my car with a problem I thought I'd fix easily. Strange, but when the air mass sensor was plugged in the car would jerk once you hit 3k rpm. When the sensor was unplugged it would go as normal throughout the rpm range, and the turbos would spool but there wouldn't really be any boost feel.

So, Ibought a new air mass sensor, installed it.. same thing.

Then, Itook it to the nearest Audi service center, they took a look around. They found the throttle body boot ripped in half, literally. I bought the part and changed it. This DID fix the problem some what, obviously. The car then funcionted normally with the air mass sensor plugged in. Again, went throughout the rpm range, but still there wasn't any incredible boost. The car still felt sluggish and weird, if I floor it, it feels like it chokes. I even tried "fuel injection cleaner".

So, I thought things over and though maybe the diverter valves were leaking boost. I ordered two 710n diverter valves, installed them, made a slight difference.. but for the most part, same thing.

WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH THE CAR?

Check to see if there are any codes and then pressure test the car to make sure there are no other boost leaks. When you have a boost leak the car will run like poo when the MAF is plugged in. But run fine when unplugged

the car is currently running the same with it unplugged and plugged ever since the throttle body boot has been changed.. but it still feels horribly sluggish

You can still have a boost leak and not have the car sputter. The TBB is a big leak so there is going to be a huge difference. Not a bad thing to check

it wasn't as huge of a difference as i expected actually.. the only major thing it did do is allow to car to function with the air flow sensor plugged in..

what do you guys think about the continued sluggishness?? boost leak??.. it DOES hit boost sometimes in 2nd and 3rd really hard the way it should for a few hundred rpm but then seems to choke.

Read for any stored codes, it might be a malfunctioning N75.

Then you should log block 115 with Vag-com to see if your actual boost is the same as required boost.

Really we don't have enough to go one, to really help much. You very likely to still has some boost leak some where.
